Below is a selected list of real-world projects I’ve contributed to - from core telco infrastructure and European agency audits to AI-driven automation and technical writing.
Each section summarizes key career milestones. Detailed accounts, including architecture diagrams, SOC/NOC audit notes, and automation.

1. Regional ISP (1998)
Where it all started. My first exposure to production networks, customer routing issues, and real-world latency problems.
2. Credit Card Clearing House - Network Security
Designed and hardened L2 & L3 infrastructure for a financial clearing system. Focused on segmentation, redundancy, and perimeter firewalling.
3. Maritime Connectivity - UK, Malta, Greece
Delivered network and security architecture for shipping companies with hybrid satellite + land-based links. Bridged compliance and field resilience.
4. Tier-1 Carrier - Global MPLS Backbone
Ηead of the engineering team that delivered the world's first large-scale MPLS deployment - both Cell-Based and Frame-Based variants. Multivendor, multiregional, 24/7 chaos. This Network also Supported the "Athens 2004 Olympic games".
5. Tier-1 Carrier - International Fiber Optics
Designed the build and deployed an international dark fiber & lit services network. Fiber-layer issues, DWDM setups, and interconnection logistics.
6. Tier-1 Carrier - Global VoIP Infrastructure
Deployed & monitored Softswitch-based VoIP architecture across multiple countries. Load balancing, routing policies, and SBC strategies.
7. European Agency - Network Acceptance Testing
Led the structured testing of large-scale secure networks for EU institutions. Defined criteria, test cases, validation cycles and created the scripts needed for: Execution, Results collection, Results Presentation.
8. European Agency - Data Center Redesign Proposal
Drafted a full redesign of on-prem infrastructure: segmentation, fault domains, and physical/logical access policies. Focused on simplification & resiliency.
9. Book Author - AI Automations for SOC/NOC (WIP)
Writing a hands-on technical book covering the use of LLMs, automation pipelines, and infrastructure logic for next-gen SOC/NOC teams.
10. PoC Lab - AI-Managed LAN (WIP)
Currently building a live Proof-of-Concept lab to demo full AI-based management of LAN infrastructure: firewalling, reverse proxying, service deployment, and anomaly detection using self-hosted AI.
